Meet the team

	William Bode FNAG FGA MIRV Manager William’s substantial lists of qualifications speak for themselves. In relation to his considerable abilities he is a Fellow of the National association of Goldsmiths, Member of the Institute of Registered Valuers and a Fellow of the Gemmological Association. William is the Manager of Whittles and has had a long career in the jewellery trade. His particular abilities are in giving expert advice in all aspects of jewellery and watches.
	Joanna Rhodes BA (Hons) Director Joanna is the Managing Director and the fourth generation member of the Rhodes family to be at the helm of the independent family business. She has a BA Honours Degree in Business Management and the National Association of Gemmology Diploma. Joanna is proud and determined to maintain the reputation of Whittles; for excellent service and quality.
	Pat Wright Sales Consultant Pat is the longest serving member of our team. Pat started work at Whittles straight from school at the age of 15. She has been a stalwart of the company now for a remarkable 48 years. She continues to draw on here considerable knowledge, serving many familiar faces and she has a particular good memory when it comes to names and details of sales. Pat has served three generations of the Rhodes family.
	Barbara Cronin Sales Consultant Barbara is a talented and knowledgeable sales consultant with a particular responsibility and superb flare for window dressing. She has been a part of the team for 39 years, again from leaving school. Her helpful and gentle nature is well known to many faithful customers. Barbara’s pristine and creative window displays are regularly praised by our trading partners.
	Sheila Worden Sales Consultant Sheila has a vast experience in sales; she has worked in other sectors of retail, together with owning her own business, before settling with Whittles in 1989. Sheila remains now on a part time basis offering her expert advice and guidance. She has a keen following of regular customers, having a warm and welcoming personality.
	Leigh Carrel BA (Hons) FGA Sales Consultant Leigh has a BA Hons in 3D Design and is a Fellow of the Gemmological Association. She joined Whittles in 2006 with the intention of gaining retail experience. Since then she has proved to be a great asset to the team and is a well liked member of staff. Leigh now works part time whilst continuing her studies. She has a particular talent in design and bespoke pieces, and has a delightful, happy and friendly approach to her work.
	Barry Douthwaite Watchmaker Barry joined Whittles in 1984 as Workshop Manager. His expertise is in the maintenance and repair of watches. He is a fully accredited horologist having been on several Rolex courses and having trained with Rolex and Omega and has a vast experience in his field of work. Working on site above the showroom Barry also carried out jewellery repairs.
